10 Hours of Static White Noise Sleep Sound

posted in: Fun Sounds, What's New | 0

►White noise is great for falling asleep. White noise can also be an effective method to calm and soothe a crying infant.  Some believe that white noise simulates being back inside the womb.  I don’t know about that, but it certainly is relaxing.

It is important to remember that if you play white noise sounds for your baby, you must keep the volume low and don’t put the speaker too close to your babies crib.

Something to think about:

Get Moving:

You don’t have to run in order to get a runner’s high. All forms of exercise, including yoga and walking, can ease depression and anxiety by helping the brain release feel-good chemicals and by giving your body a chance to practice dealing with stress. You can go for a quick walk around the block, take the stairs up and down a few flights, or do some stretching exercises like head rolls and shoulder shrugs.

This sleep relaxation sound of a fan may be just what you need to ease the symptoms of your tinnitus.

What is Tinnitus you ask?

Well, according to the Mayo Clinic website, Tinnitus is defined as follows:

Tinnitus (TIN-ih-tus) is noise or ringing in the ears. A common problem, tinnitus affects about 1 in 5 people. Tinnitus isn’t a condition itself — it’s a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder.

Although bothersome, tinnitus usually isn’t a sign of something serious. Although it can worsen with age, for many people, tinnitus can improve with treatment. Treating an identified underlying cause sometimes helps. Other treatments reduce or mask the noise, making tinnitus less noticeable.

Tinnitus involves the annoying sensation of hearing sound when no external sound is present. Tinnitus symptoms include these types of phantom noises in your ears:
Ringing, Buzzing, Roaring, Clicking, Hissing

The phantom noise may vary in pitch from a low roar to a high squeal, and you may hear it in one or both ears. In some cases, the sound can be so loud it can interfere with your ability to concentrate or hear actual sound. Tinnitus may be present all the time, or it may come and go.

The Mayo Clinic website continues to say that one possible treatment for Tinnitus is noise suppression:

“In some cases white noise may help suppress the sound so that it’s less bothersome. Your doctor may suggest using an electronic device to suppress the noise.”
